At Qaujigiartiit Health Research Centre (QHRC), we develop tools and resources that support community and service providers across Nunavut. These resources are created to promote wellness, strengthen services, and support cultural understanding.

HealthNUQaujigiaruti – Our Web App

This web app replaces and combines the features of the former HealthNU and Family Services NU apps into one comprehensive platform.

These standalone tools are no longer supported, and all information previously found there are available at HealthNUQaujigiaruti.ca

About this Website

An initiative of QHRC, this web app serves as an online handbook for healthcare and family services practitioners who are coming to work in Nunavut. It provides:

  • General information about Nunavut – including communities, culture, and context;
  • Insights into healthcare and family services systems – how they operate in the territory;
  • Professional expectations – guidance for providers working in Nunavut;
  • Practical resources – guides, videos, and links to help with orientation and preparation; and
  • Important teachings for developing cultural competencies in Nunavut.

Why this Change?

The previous apps, HealthNu and Family Services NU, have been retired and their content is now fully integrated into the new platform.

This site can be saved as an app on your Home Screen.

The benefits of this change include:

  • No downloads required – access the site from any device;
  • Always up to date – content is refreshed regularly;
  • Streamlined experience – easier navigation and better compatibility; and
  • Sustainable management – updates and new features are easier to implement.
